Defensible Space Inspections Beginning for Properties in Urban-Wildland Interface Zone on May 1st

Defensible Space

Beginning May 1st, LE100 Defensible Space Inspectors from Central Fire Protection District and CalFIRE will begin defensible space inspections on properties located in the Urban-Wildland Interface Zone.

Defensible Space inspections are an important part of the District's strategy to reduce overall wildfire hazard in our community.

If you have questions about these inspections or are looking for ways to reduce the risk your property faces from wildfire, our Community Risk Reduction staff would be happy to assist you! You can reach them Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM at (831) 685-6698 or by visiting their office at 6934 Soquel Drive in Aptos.
